 Bonzi Plant Growth Regulator 1 quart Bonzi is a plant growth regulator (PGR) that brings out the very best in bedding plants, flowering and foliage plants, bulb crops, perennials and woody ornamentals grown in containers in greenhouses, shadehouses, nurseries, and interiorscapes. Bonzi helps you produce more compact, uniform, attractive and, best of all, more marketable plants.It effectively reduces internode elongation through the inhibition of gibberellin biosynthesis, resulting in more desirable, compact plants. A single spray, drench or preplant bulb soak application at optimum rates is often times sufficient to achieve desired results. Although Bonzi enters a plant by different routes, depending on the method of application used, the end result is the same. In spray applications, Bonzi primarily penetrates plant stems and is translocated through the xylem to the terminals. In drench applications, Bonzi is absorbed through the roots and is also translocated through the xylem to the terminals. In preplant bulb soaks, Bonzi is absorbed into the bulb tissues and, after planting and subsequent stem growth begins, it moves to the terminals. Once in the terminals, its chemical action reduces internode elongation and produces more compact plant growth. When used as directed, Bonzi produces no phytotoxic effects. Research has shown that the growth inhibition caused by Bonzi can be reversed by gibberellic acid. Size: Quart |
